The Carlsbad Windmill by Wedgewood Weddings is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing venues in San Diego County. Located on the Carlsbad coast of North County San Diego, this Carlsbad wedding venue provides all of the great features for a seamless and magical wedding experience. Carlsbad Windmill Wedding Costs

Let’s get this one out of the way because let's be honest - there’s no point in reading everything else if it doesn’t fit in your budget. Weddings at the Carlsbad Windmill costs range from $10,000-30,000. Luckily, they are transparent about this and you can view their pricing here. TLDR: It varies between $82-147 per person, $795-4,995 for the venue with a flat rate of 1,495 for the ceremony. Keep in mind they do have a minimum spend of $15,000 throughout most of the year but I have heard of it as low as $10,000, plus service fee and taxes. So, for a summer and fall Saturday wedding at the Carlsbad Windmill with 100 guests will cost you about $18,000-25,000.

From the garden suite to the sparkler exit, this venue has everything you could ask for. You each get a getting ready suite called Hospitality suite and Garden suite. The Ceremony options are a white barn themed room that is naturally well lit from the sun coming in through the ceiling or the outdoor courtyard with the gazebo. Lastly you could go get permits for a beach ceremony and have your ceremony on the Carlsbad State Beach. All followed by an equally stunning reception space upstairs; a large ball room that follows the same barn aesthetic with the architecture. This venue is also a fantastic option for those who are worried about rain on their wedding day as the indoor options make it great for all weather conditions!

 

Photo Opportunities

Talk about a picture perfect wedding venue, I already mentioned the getting ready suites which are both great for getting ready photos and flatlay shots. There are plenty of spots that can be used for everything from wedding party photos, first looks, couple portraits and family photos, such as the courtyard and gazebo, the windmill deck, the ceremony space. Some spots that are better for couple portraits are the office and balcony, and the front of the windmill. If you are into the beach you can definitely take a trip to the state beach or Terramar point for some stunning beach photos. I also have a reel showing many of them here.

The Amenities at the Carlsbad Windmill doubles with the Carlsbad by the Sea Hotel featuring all your regular 3 Star hotel amenities like your outdoor pool and hot tub. As well as The Carlsbad Windmill Food Hall which features a variety of amazing restaurants (El Puerto Street Tacos is my favorite) games and bars! Not to even mention its prime location of being less than 2 miles from the Carlsbad State Beach, The Crossings Golf Course and Legoland.
